FAQs
1. Which espresso machines are compatible with the BOOKOO Espresso Monitor Pressure Sensor?
- The BOOKOO EM uses a G1/8 thread and can be installed directly on machines with a G1/8 pressure port, including Flair 58, Flair 58 Plus, and other compatible G1/8 setups.
- An M6 adapter is included for many E61 group machines, such as Lelit V3, Rocket R58, Profitec Pro 400/500/600/700, ECM Puristika, Mechanika, and Synchronika.
- Machines with non-G1/8 or non-M6 ports may require an additional adapter or T-connector. Some models, including La Pavoni Europiccola, Profitec Move, and Rancilio Silvia, are not recommended as direct-fit installations.

2. What tools are needed for installation, and how should leaks be checked?
- In most cases, installation may require an adjustable wrench and PTFE tape for proper sealing. The sensor should be tightened gently and not over-torqued.
- After installation, check the connection for leaks before brewing. If leakage occurs, check whether the washer, sealing ring, or PTFE tape is installed correctly.

3. Which scales and apps work with the BOOKOO EM?
- The BOOKOO EM works with BOOKOO Themis Mini Scale, BOOKOO Themis Ultra Scale, etc. Pressure data can be monitored through the BOOKOO N App or Beanconqueror.
- In the BOOKOO N App, brew history and pressure curves can also be reviewed and exported for extraction analysis.

4. How long does the battery last, and can the EM be used while charging?
- The BOOKOO EM has a 450mAh lithium battery, with up to 30 hours of continuous use and up to 180 days of theoretical standby time.
- When the battery is low, the LED indicator turns red, and the battery level can also be checked in the BOOKOO N App. Use while charging is not recommended. For safety and better battery life, fully charge the device and disconnect the charging cable before brewing.

5. Is the BOOKOO EM waterproof, and does it need heat protection?
- The BOOKOO EM is not waterproof. Avoid rinsing, submerging, or exposing the device directly to water or steam.
- If liquid reaches the surface, wipe it immediately with a dry, soft cloth and make sure the device is fully dry before charging.
- The recommended operating temperature is 0-80°C. When installed near a high-temperature group head, an adapter can help reduce heat transfer and keep readings stable.

6. What should be checked if Bluetooth connection, data syncing, or auto-start/auto-stop is unstable?
- Make sure the BOOKOO N App and EM firmware are updated to the latest version, and check Bluetooth permission, privacy authorization, and location permission on the phone.
- If the device cannot be detected, charge it for at least 1 hour before reconnecting. Auto-start or auto-stop may also be affected by app version, Bluetooth connection, firmware status, or parameter settings. If auto-stop does not trigger, check that Auto Stop Time is set above 0.

7. Why is the EM pressure reading slightly different from a mechanical pressure gauge?
- A slight difference is normal. Mechanical pressure gauges have their own tolerance, and the BOOKOO EM has a measurement tolerance of about ±0.1 bar. Small differences compared with a mechanical gauge or another brand’s gauge are expected and usually do not affect extraction judgment.
